Conflicting ideas that made sense
Opposing mechanisms flourished together
Numbers appeared through clouds of smoke
Signs in the distance for all to see
Wasting precious time
Building conspiracies from nothing x2
How can they decide to play by the rules
When there are no rules to follow?
A realization of a co-existence collides
Ignorant to anything otherwise
CHORUS
One by one, one by one, whoa
Doubt persisting, balance is shifting, fate is twisting
Piling up bricks to build the martyr
One by one, excuses making us smarter x4
Why deny! Why defy!
Why deny this insanity, Why defy this conspiracy
How can they decide to play by the rules
When there are no rules to follow. Follow! Decide!

My all time favourite band. They stick to a simple formula their whole career and have mastered it in such an un parralelled fashion.
Awesome people when I met them in Newcastle, Australia in 2010 as well.

This album is AZip's best since Andiamo, maybe even A Passage In Time. And that's a high bar for a band that couldn't put out a bad studio album if they tried. There's hints of every previous album. Even fans who think the band went downhill after Passage should like this one. Mark Hammond

A very solid and sing-a-long worthy album made by an extremely underrated punk rock band. This album brings back vibes of 90s melodic skatepunk in the vein of No Use for A Name and Strung Out. I strongly recommend buying this album if you are a fan of that style of punk. Frank Fratto
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
