Look, watch your back
feel the gears shift their place
cause you know you’re changing
fear what attacks
catch a glimpse of your face
and the time it’s taken
we can all learn a thing about trusting someone
when they’re not who they say and the tables have turned
take a rest, take a heap of the bullshit you feed
take a second to see, this is you it’s not me
now it’s pointed at you, could you ever have dreamed
that you’re not worth the weight of your mendacity?
take some film of the scene, write a book we can read
speak your scripted remarks and your forged honesty
there is something to say for the damage you’ve done
Cause you can’t take it back and it won’t go away
You’ve got a way
With the words that you say
And they’re always changing
Live what you preach
And imagine to be
This you’ve instigated
I have never been cool with trusting someone
When they’re not who they say and the tables have turned
Take a step, take a leap of the faith that’s fading
Take a dive in the wave, now you’re soaked and drowning
Sort of awkward to see you in pain and worried
But you’re not worth the time and I don’t feel sorry
You should beg, you should plea, you should cry on your knees
Say your closing remarks and bow out gracefully
There is nothing to prove cause it’s already done
And you can’t take it back cause it won’t go away
You looking back
Overwhelmed with regret
But for me I’m changing
take disgrace, take defeat, fill the room with deceit
take good care of the life you’ve pretended to lead
we have all learned a thing about trusting someone
and you’re not who you say, now the tables have turned
what a mess, what a deed, like a horror story
when you cover the wound then it’s exposed to breath
is this what you meant when you showed it to me?
well you can’t take it back and it won’t go away
I love it. Have to agree with still bummed: this packs an emotional punch but rocks hard. I've played this whole album repeatedly over the last week which is unusual for me. Exhilarating, poignant, intelligent, melodic. Robin Ward
A very solid and sing-a-long worthy album made by an extremely underrated punk rock band. This album brings back vibes of 90s melodic skatepunk in the vein of No Use for A Name and Strung Out. I strongly recommend buying this album if you are a fan of that style of punk. Frank Fratto
SO stoked these guys are back with a new album! This does not disappoint whatsoever, and in my opinion it's their best work yet! Don't sleep on this release if you are into melodic skatepunk. iloveblink182
